Petar is graduating …

Wednesday, May 17th, 2006

… on Sunday :-) The whole family is excited about the big extravaganza and almost everyone is coming to SJ. We’re cordially invited to the Greek Theater on campus to enjoy the ceremony and the hooding of the freshly produced MBAs. I wonder if they’ll invite a high profile speaker to address the grads … sort of “Use sunscreen” with/without Kurt Vonnegut’s speech. I don’t know if it worked for MIT but it’s a brilliant and very wise advice for Cal Bears.

Anyhoo, afterwards we’ll sip champagne and Petar is treating us to lunch or brunch somewhere in the city!

I am so happy the horror called MBA is over! Now we are one step nearer to a PhD, if we ever decide to go for one :-)

Cheers, everyone!

p.s. Post-official-grad parties will follow up, don’t worry (be happy! :))!

Yes, it’s done. After three great years at Haas, I have just submitted by final paperwork. Graduation is just next week - save the date - May 21! :)

I guess it will take some time to adjust to all this freedom - I will keep you posted!

Four more weeks to the end of school

Sunday, April 16th, 2006

There are only a few weeks left to the end of this final term of my graduate studies at UC Berkeley. Although the school experience has been great, I am feeling a bit tired. There are still a lot of work to be done until the end of the term, so I will be spending a lot more time studying in the next weeks - wish me luck ! :)

Graduation date is set of May 21, 2006 - yay !

Lowest price guarantee means higher prices !

Sunday, April 9th, 2006

My “Pricing Policies” professor at UC Berkeley - Teck-Hua Ho, presented an excellent overview of the Internet Pricing Models during his last lecture. Check out Teck’s Haas faculty profile - what amazing things people work on!!

Of special interest is his study on the “Lowest Price Guarantees” - overall guarantee the lowest prices allows merchants to keep the prices higher and make more money!

I promise - after graduating I will start reading more - I am so waiting for school to be over !!
